Several 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray titles were announced and/or added to our release calendar this week.  Read on below for some of the main highlights that we have summed up for you in case you missed them.

Warner Brothers has officially announced William Friedkin's classic The Exorcist for 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 9. It will include the theatrical cut as well as the extended director's cut. Best Buy will also be carrying a 4K SteelBook.

A Blu-ray (sorry no 4K) of 20th Century Studios' The Boogeyman based on the short story by Stephen King is going to be hitting stores on October 10. Better check under your bed before you go to sleep tonight.

Continuing the horror trend, Paramount is slapping a SteelBook costume on the 4K UHD Blu-ray of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later which will be available on September 26.

Sony's Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse will be swinging to 4KUHD & Blu-ray September 5th. There will also be several retailer exclusive versions including a Target Blu-ray with collectible cards, a Wal-Mart Blu-ray SteelBook, and a Best Buy 4KUHD SteelBook.

Vinegar Syndrome has listed a few new limited edition preorders: Killer Condom on 4K UHD Blu-ray, plus The Cardona Collection: Volume Two, Amazon Jail / Amazon Jail II, and Guest House Paradiso on Blu-ray. Several limited edition titles from Vinegar Syndrome's partner labels have been added to our release calendar as well: Vengeance Is Mine, Tower. The record-breaking blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home starring Tom Holland, Zendaya and Benedict Cumberbatch will arrive on Digital platforms on March 22 and will be available on physical 4K/Blu-rays April 12.

Peter H. Hunt's 1776 starring William Daniels, Howard Da Silva, and Ken Howard will be getting a 50th Anniversary 4K Edition on May 31st.  

The film is based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and this 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release will include both the 165-minute Director's Cut and the 167-minute Extended Cut presented in Dolby Vision/HDR with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. The edition will also include the 1972 theatrical cut in HD as well as the 1992 Laserdisc cut in SD on Blu-ray.

1776 is a musical celebration of the founding of the United States of America based on the award-winning Broadway production! The story centers around the tough and unyielding John Adams (William Daniels), the charming and pragmatic Benjamin Franklin (Howard Da Silva), the brilliant young Thomas Jefferson (Ken Howard), and the rest of the Continental Congress. The 1981 animated classic Heavy Metal will be getting the 4K UHD treatment on April 22 and will feature Dolby Vision, a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, and collector's SteelBook packaging. Also included is a Blu-ray disc of Heavy Metal and the Blu-ray debut of Heavy Metal 2000.  

The release has been given a new soundscape supervised by Ivan Reitman and will include an all-new bonus feature: Heavy Metal: A Look Back – an all-new retrospective featuring re¬flections from producer Ivan Reitman, famous fans Kevin Smith, Norman Reedus, and more!
