Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk' Announced for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray & Blu-ray[teaser]The acclaimed war drama is now available for pre-order![/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Bros. is prepping Dunkirk for 4K Ultra HD Bl-ray and Blu-ray on December 19. Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in. The story unfolds on land, sea and air. RAF Spitfires engage the enemy in the skies above the Channel, trying to protect the defenseless men below. Meanwhile, hundreds of small boats manned by both military and civilians are mounting a desperate rescue effort, risking their lives in a race against time to save even a fraction of their army. Dario Argento's 'Suspiria' Heads to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray & Blu-ray[teaser]A restored Blu-ray is coming to the US and a crowd-funded 4K disc is planned for the UK.[/teaser] Synapse Films is prepping a Limited Collector's SteelBook Blu-ray of Dario Argento's Suspiria for the US with a tentative ship date of mid-late November. Meanwhile, British label CultFilms is set to launch a crowd-funding campaign for a Limited Edition SteelBook Ultra HD Blu-ray on October 30. The US Synapse Films Blu-ray disc will use a new 4K restoration of the original uncut, uncensored Italian 35mm camera negative exclusively done by Synapse Films, with color correction supervised and approved by Director of Photography, Luciano Tovoli. In addition, the release will be limited to 6,000 units and will feature exclusive SteelBook packaging and collector's o-card sleeve with artwork from Malleus, Van Orton Design, Juan José Saldarriaga & Chris MacGibbon. A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray version has not been announced at this time. Warner Bros. Preps First Four 'Harry Potter' Films & 'Harry Potter 8-Film Collection' for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in November[teaser]The remaining 4K Harry Potter flicks have been pushed back to November.[/teaser] As previously reported, Warner Bros. is prepping the first four Harry Potter films starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson for Ultra HD Blu-ray. While the release date was originally set for October 3, the studio has now bumped the discs back to a November 7 launch date.
