Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk' Announced for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray & Blu-ray

The acclaimed war drama is now available for pre-order!

In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Bros. is prepping Dunkirk for 4K Ultra HD Bl-ray and Blu-ray on December 19.

Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces.  Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in. The story unfolds on land, sea and air. RAF Spitfires engage the enemy in the skies above the Channel, trying to protect the defenseless men below. Meanwhile, hundreds of small boats manned by both military and civilians are mounting a desperate rescue effort, risking their lives in a race against time to save even a fraction of their army. Starring Fionn Whitehead, Barry Keoghan, Mark Rylance, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, and Kenneth Branagh.

The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video and the Ultra HD Blu-ray will feature 2160p video with HDR. Audio on both formats will be presented in DTS-HD Master Audio, although it is unclear if it will be 5.1 or 7.1.
