The Iron Man and Thor movies are all heading to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in August.
Marvel has announced plans to release Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Thor, and Thor: The Dark World on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. All five titles are set to hit stores on August 13. Best Buy Exclusive SteelBook Editions will also be available for each film.
Iron Man - After being held captive in an Afghan cave, billionaire engineer Tony Stark creates a unique weaponized suit of armor to fight evil.
Iron Man 2 - With the world now aware of his identity as Iron Man, Tony Stark must contend with both his declining health and a vengeful mad man with ties to his father's legacy.
Iron Man 3 - When Tony Stark's world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin, he starts an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution.
Thor - The powerful but arrogant god Thor is cast out of Asgard to live amongst humans in Midgard (Earth), where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.
Thor: The Dark World - When Dr. Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) gets cursed with a powerful entity known as the Aether, Thor is heralded of the cosmic event known as the Convergence and the genocidal Dark Elves.
Full specs have not been detailed yet, and supplements will likely mirror those found on the previously released Blu-ray editions. Pre-orders are now live via Amazon and Best Buy.
