One of the most bizarre and surreal films in Cronenberg's already bizarre and surreal catalog of films, Naked Lunch is steeped in hyptnotic imagery held by incredible performacnes and an amazing Howard Shore score. Burroughs has always been a polarizing figure and so too was this film. Part adaptation of Burroughs' novel, his actual life, and other short stories, Peter Weller stars as William Lee who after killing his wife, grabs his typewriter and flees to the North African Interzone. It's a hell of a trip and essential viewing for any Cronenberg fan. It's also damned hard to peg a specific genre. Is it comedy? Drama? Horror? Science Fiction? All of the above? You'll just have to huff your own tank of bug killer and find out for yourself!

As we knew Arrow Video was already issuing their own releases of Naked Lunch, Turbine Medien is preparing to unleash their own unique Limited Edition Mediabook Releases. Each edition offers the film in 4k Ultra HD with Dolby Vision HDR with a transfer approved by Cronenberg, a remastered Blu-ray, as well as two additional discs with over 5-hours of bonus features on top of a 48-page essay book (in German)!
