Sometimes, you can only dip into a well once. After a blistering hit from critics and fans and a box office take to match, Joker: Folie À Deux will sprint onto theater-at-home streaming on October 29th with 4K UHD & Blu-ray discs dropping in time for Christmas.

Ouch, that's a painfully quick turnaround. In case you didn't notice, the coverage of the jukebox musical sequel Joker: Folie À Deux hasn't exactly been kind. In fact, it's been pretty damn brutal. Ever since the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival, this sequel from Todd Phillips starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, the good news has been about as scarce as positive reviews. Now with the studio blame game train under a full head of steam, Joker: Folie À Deux will sneak its way onto digital retail platforms on October 29th with 4K and Blu-ray discs dropping down the chimney on December 17th in time for a very merry Christmas.

Burbank, CA, October 22, 2024 – From acclaimed writer/director/producer Todd Phillips comes Joker: Folie À Deux, the follow-up to 2019’s Academy Award-winning Joker, which earned more than $1 billion at the global box office. The new film stars Joaquin Phoenix once again in his Oscar-winning dual role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, opposite Oscar winner Lady Gaga (“A Star Is Born”). Joker: Folie À Deux debuts for purchase and rental digitally at home on October 29.

• On October 29, Joker: Folie À Deux will be available for early Premium Digital Ownership at home and for 48-hour rental via PVOD on participating digital platforms where you purchase or rent movies, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango at Home, and more.

• On December 17, Joker: Folie À Deux will be available to own on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD from online and physical retailers. Joker: Folie À Deux will also continue to be available to own in high definition and standard definition from participating digital retailers.

Phillips, who received Oscar nominations for directing, writing and producing Joker, directed Joker: Folie À Deux from a screenplay co-written with fellow Oscar nominee Scott Silver, based on characters from DC. The film was produced by Phillips, Oscar nominee Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Joseph Garner. Lady Gaga served as music consultant. The film’s executive producers are Michael E. Uslan, Georgia Kacandes, Silver, Mark Friedberg and Jason Ruder.
