It's been years.
On the PC, the original 'N' was a masterwork of addictive cyber ninja action. On the 360, 'N+' made it a stunning 4 player co-op journey. Now, in the era of streaming where some players are endlessly looking for a challenge, 'N++' will descend on the PS4. For fans of platformers, or co-op games, indie games, or games that trumpet fun and skill, 'N++' will launch with 2360 levels and the series' brilliant way of mixing in escalating challenges. There is also a level editor, with which players can create and share levels. Those levels, just like the ones that ship with the game, will have leaderboards and watchable replays of level runs will abound.
'N++' will also launch with levels made during the game's recent PS4 beta. That means a flood of content available for the July 28th release date.
Metanet has described this long sought sequel as the last installment, but it's also a game meant to last and live through its community. The game's clean aesthetic is likely to throw new players, but the vector graphics being used, along with the physics and precision demanded by the design, will run at 1080p and 60fps. This is a game that needed this new generation of hardware to realize.
It's crazy, but there is some scheme to the game's pricing. 'N++' will launch at $19.99, but PS Plus members can preorder the game for 20% off and will also get a PS4 theme. (Preorder here.) The crazy part is that not only will the game be the higher $19.99 price at launch, but Metanet is planning to add a ton of content is a big future update. At that time, the current plan is to raise the game's price to reflect the additional content.
