Also coming to the PS3.
'Tower of Guns' is an "old-school, roguelike, first-person shooter" from Terrible Posture Games which hit PC last March and is being brought to the Xbox One, PS4, and PS3 by Grip Games. While the game is old-school in how it tasks the player with shooting levels full of enemies using increasing more powerful guns (need for increasingly large and powerful bosses), it's the roguelike elements that make for the modern twist. Levels and enemies (think placement) are randomized, and the difficulty is far from kind. Dying means a return to the game's first level, the first floor of the title. Each attempt, however, does carry with it certain experience gains to make the player stronger and better equipped after each foray.
From Jakub Mikyska, CEO for Grip Games,
"The enemies are merciless and you’ll need to be constantly on the move, dodging bullets. Forget cover mechanics or stealth missions — instead, it’s time to re-learn strafing and double-jumping and enter each room with guns blazing."
'Tower of Guns' is do out as a downloadable title on the Xbox One, PS4, and PS3 in 2015.
