PS4 owners, Xbox One owners, and 'Dark Souls' fans rejoice. Bandai Namco is bringing From Software's 'Dark Souls II' to the PS4 and Xbox One in the form of 'Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin.' The original release was packed full of content. (Check out the review here.) This new version will include the three DLC packs, 'Crown of the Sunken King,' 'Crown of the Old Iron King,' and 'Crown of the Ivory King,' as well as some new content, such as:
Additional NPCs added for an enhanced story experience.
Parameter adjustments for improved game balance.
Augmented item descriptions.
Improved online matchmaking functionality.
Bandai Namco has also announced that the new content (but not the DLC) will be coming free to all existing versions of 'Dark Souls II.' Since the new version includes the DLC as well, 'Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin' is set for release on the 360, PS3, and PC as well as the PS4 and Xbox One. The release date is April 7, 2015.
In addition to the, base game, three DLC packs, and new content, the PS4, Xbox One, and DirectX 11 versions of the game will feature:
Additional upgrades to graphics, sound, performance.
Increase in maximum online players in single session (6 total).
