Sleeping bag kill unlocks, 36 hours to go.
Just under the wire, Gun Media is reporting that their new, fantastic sounding 'Friday The 13th' game has reached its initial Kickstarter goal of $700,000. Meaning, this time next year, there's gonna be a whole lot of dead, digital camp counselors.
Meeting the mark also unlocked one of the developer's stretch goals: Adding the infamous sleeping bag kill from 'Part 7' into the game. There's only about 36 hours left for the project, though, so, it's looking like some of the other goodies they had planned--including a single player mode, and an ultimate stretch goal of incorporating the amazing liquid nitrogen kill from 'Jason X' at the $5.5 million mark--might have to go by the wayside.
Still, the project happening at all, with as much of the original talent from the films involved as they could muster--Kane Hodder and Tom Savini chief among them--and especially considering the whole thing started as a tiny, indie, slasher horror project, is pretty awesome. Have another look at Gun Media's pitch video, and head over to Kickstarter to see if we can't squeeze a few more kills out of this thing before its over.
