'Batman: Arkham Knight' Returns to PC With a New Price & Some "Community" Rewards

Remember June?

Back in late June, 'Batman: Arkham Knight' released to much acclaim, (see here), but that was only on PS4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, the PC version of 'Arkham Knight' was so beset by performance issues, Warner Bros. decided to suspend sales. Let me write that again... June. 

Well, now the 'Batman: Arkham Knight' has passed the WB's quality control tests, the PC version is again on sale.

In recognition of the four month gap, the game returns at a reduced price of $49.99

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has also announced three "community focused programs," which could be viewed as compensation for those users stuck with a broken PC version. Except of course, these "programs" are good for anyone who buys the PC version before 11:59PM PDT at November 16th, so they could also be seen as a way to jumpstart PC 'Arkham Knight' sales.

Here are the three bonuses for owning the PC version before November 16th:

Free digital copies of games from the Batman: Arkham library.
The "Community Challenge Pack” DLC.
The Batman: Arkham inspired Team Fortress 2 items created by the Batman: Arkham community.

These offers have to be considered a bit bizzare, especially for those that say, already own the 'Arkham' games on PC. That would be 'Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY,' 'Batman: Arkham City GOTY' (review here), 'Batman: Arkham Origins' (review here), and 'Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate' (review here).

The Community Challenge Pack is coming to PC a week before consoles.

Inexplicably, the WB has managed to get all of the Steam reviews for the PC version from the past four months marked as pre-release. The 'Arkham Knight' PC situation has not been one of the better things to happen in gaming in 2015, and the saga appears to be continuing.
