Beautiful JRPG sees English release this Summer.
NIS America has announced today that they will be bringing Spike Chunsoft's tactical RPG 'Grand Kingdom' to the US and Europe this Summer. The game is headed up by Tomohiko Eguchi, who previously directed 'Grand Knights History', a PSP RPG from Vanillaware (known for 'Odin Sphere' and 'Muramasa') that was due for a release in the West, but was cancelled partway through localization. NIS America has released a trailer for the game which you can catch right here:
Unsurprisingly, considering the staff behind it, the game has a gorgeous 2D artstyle, and features music from Basiscape, who worked on all of Vanillaware's titles with lead composer Hitoshi Sakimoto, best known for his work on 'Final Fantasy 12'. Spike Chunsoft has previously worked with NIS America to bring the 'Danganronpa' titles to the west, so they seem to have worked out a fairly big publishing arrangement, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more titles from them under NIS America in the near future.
