Could it be for the Wii U?
In something of a stealth announcement, Nintendo is actively developing a new installment of 'Pikmin.' This news comes via a July interview with Miyamoto, which Eurogamer has confirmed.
The last game in the series, 'Pikmin 3' (review here), is one of the Wii U's best games, and came after a long hiatus from the Gamecube days of the first two games. The specific platform for 'Pikmin 4,' as well as any other major details, have not yet been announced, however, it is reasonable to think that this could be a Wii U title.
This past July, Nintendo went through some big changes with the loss of Saturo Iwata. Since that time, the big N has been somewhat restrained in its communications. Fans should expect a proper reveal of 'Pikmin 4' in 2016.
