An E3 surprise leaked...by Microsoft.
This is technically the calm before the E3 storm, but as happens every year, the lightning occasionally strikes ahead of schedule. In Microsoft's case, it appears that updating one of their support site documents may have leaked that Microsoft plans on a new iteration of the XBox One's controller that takes a page out of the PS4's playbook, adding a headphone jack directly into the bottom half of the controller.
It's up in the air whether this is the only tweak being made, as the controller diagram on the page doesn't show any other design changes, extra buttons or, say, light bars or anything, but the page does mention that the headphone jack will only be in controllers released after June 2015, which likely means we won't find out until Microsoft makes their presentation on Monday, June 15th. Regardless, the headphone jack has become nigh invaluable for late night gaming on PS4. It's very much welcome on the Xbox.
