Dev cites quality concerns.
The team working on 'Dead Island 2' just announced today, via a statement on Twitter, that the highly anticipated sequel is being pushed back until 2016.
The team from Yager, of 'Spec Ops The Line' fame, didn't offer any specific details behind the delay other than focusing purely on development" and that they "have been looking at the game long and hard, and...have decided [the game] didn’t reach that goal we set out to achieve quite yet."
Considering those goals are far more ambitious than its predecessor, with an intent toward including RPG elements, new hand-craftable weapons, and realistically rendered California locations, they may not just be blowing smoke on that. So, patience, zombie fans.
