The 'Big Bang Theory' creator's latest comedy is coming to Netflix.
Netflix has ordered a new show from executive producer Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Mom, Mike & Molly, Two and a Half Men) called 'Disjointed.' The half-hour multi-camera comedy will star Academy Award and Emmy winner Kathy Bates.
'Disjointed' is a workplace comedy starring Kathy Bates as a lifelong advocate for legalization who’s finally living her dream as the owner of an L.A.–area cannabis dispensary. Joining her are three budtenders, her twenty-something son and a deeply troubled security guard. All of them are more or less constantly high.
David Javerbaum ('The Daily Show,' 'An Act of God') also serves as an executive producer/writer for the new series along with Lorre, from Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television for Netflix. An exact release date has not been announced yet, but the streaming network has ordered the show straight to series with an initial crop of 20 episodes.
Other upcoming Netflix premieres include season three of 'BoJack Horseman' on July 22, 'Tallulah' on July 29, 'Last Chance U' on July 29, 'The Little Prince' on August 5, 'The Get Down' on August 12, 'Project Mc2' season two on August 12, 'XOXO' on August 12, and 'The Crown' on November 4. Likewise, the streaming platform is also prepping a new sci-fi series called 'Travelers' from writer Brad Wright, the third season of 'Bloodline' for 2017, new episodes of the documentary series 'Making a Murderer,' and a feature film adaptation of the manga 'Death Note.'
A current Netflix subscription starts at $10 for HD streaming and $12 for Ultra HD streaming.
