The 2009 musical comedy also known as 'Bran Nue Dae' making its Blu-ray debut in September has now been detailed.
As previously reported, 20th Century Fox will release 'Brand New Day' on Blu-ray on September 13.
In the Summer of 1969 a young man is filled with the life of the idyllic old pearling port Broome - fishing, hanging out with his mates and his girl. However, his mother returns him to the religious mission for further schooling. After being punished for an act of youthful rebellion, he runs away from the mission on a journey that ultimately leads him back home.
The movie was nominated for Best Sound, Best Original Music Score, Best Costume Design, and Best Film at the Australian Film Institute awards where Deborah Mailman also won for Best Supporting Actress.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and no supplements have been announced at this time.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.99.
