It's been a long time, but fans can be forgiven for forgetting that 'Call of Duty' was once known for truly bringing squad-based combat to its most intense first person realization. What changed over the years (or really failed to change enough) has been a diminished role and effect for those AI squad mates. With 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III,' Treyarch is changing it up. Not only are those formerly fodder AI squad mates poised to be a much bigger presence, but the ability to play as part of a team of four, each using their mix of shooting skill and tech savviness, is going to make 'Black Ops III's campaign a standout. (Meanwhile, the versus multiplayer has its own path to blaze.)
At E3, the newly minted Sony-Activision partnership lead to a big 'Black Ops III' reveal during the PlayStation conference, but that was only a teaser for a much longer presentation from Sony's part of the show floor. Fortunately for fans, that footage is available to watch right now.
