There Is Pure Insanity Happening In This 'Metal Gear Solid 5' Gameplay Demo

Despite a, let's say, tumultuous year for Hideo Kojima's last ride with 'Metal Gear', the final product is nigh, and with it, the new details are starting to flood in, and gamescom managed to land a big one: details on how Mother Base, the massive training space for Big Boss' Diamond Dogs, would work, and the new gameplay options therein.

It's all, in a word, insane. The base is ridiculously,  customizable, can be invaded, "Dark Souls' style, by other players, a security system can be set up for all stealth options, you can train up your own murder puppy, you can even shower off all the various entrails you may get splattered with in your travels, and you need to because someone will actually hit you with a bucket of water until you do. I'm not even kidding.

All in all, Kojima's going out guns blazing, literally and figuratively. Gird yourselves for this.
