Square Enix Presents 'I am Setsuna,' Come See the PS4 Review

The old techniques.

Smack dab in the middle of the summer, Square Enix has released their very old-school RPG, 'I am Setsuna.' (Check out the review here). This is a game that every 'Chrono Trigger' fan or would-be fan needs to play, that is assuming that they have access to either a PS4 or a PC.

Developed by Tokyo RPG Factory (in fact its their first game), 'I am Setsuna' utilizes a 'Chrono Trigger' style of combat. These combat mechanics have been tweaked a bit, and the enemy formations are now even more important for landing the rights attacks.

I AM SETSUNA is the sorrowful story of Setsuna, a young woman of incredible inner strength, and the sacrifice she must undertake to the save the people of her land. As Setsuna leaves with her two bodyguards for the farthest lands, players will be immersed in an emotional and unforgettable story of true bravery.

It's not enough to think of this as a JRPG. 'I am Setsuna' is attempting to stand next to one of the most unique and memorably loved RPGs ever. That's a tough bill to fill. Even so, I am hoping that Tokyo RPG Factory continues their work and delivers more games in this vein.
