'SingStar' Now Out & Free On the PS4, Uses Free Smartphone App For Mic

Smartphone and tablet mic functionality available on the PS3 version as well.

Today, Sony announced that 'SingStar' is now out as a free download on both the PS4 and PS3. The free version includes "selected demo tracks," and tracks can be bought for either $1.49 or in songs packs of five for $6.99.

Also out today is the SingStar Mic app, which lets users use their Android, iPhone, or iPod Touch as a mic on either the PS4 or PS3.

Sony has also revealed a special bundle exclusive to the US, Canada, and Mexico. The SingStore Hits Pack Bundle contains these 15 songs for $14.99:

This new app will also work with the PS3 version of 'SingStar' and, in addition to smartphones, even works with tablets. The app is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
