The 1973 film is headed for two Blu-ray editions this year.
In an early announcement to retailers, Mondo Macabro is working on 'Inquisition' for Blu-ray sometime in June. However, a limited edition release will be available in April.
'Inquisition' is a period film set during the Inquisition about a witch-finder general who falls in love with a village beauty who has made a pact with the devil to seduce and condemn the man who is killing off Satan's servants.
The release will be region-free worldwide and will feature a HD transfer from the original negative. The disc will also include Spanish and English language tracks; new created optional English subtitles; Audio commentary by Rod Barnett and Troy Guinn of the Naschycast; Archival video introduction to the film by Paul Naschy; "Blood and Sand", Eurotika! documentary on Spanish horror; Mondo Macabro previews; and Brand new cover illustration by Gilles Vranckx.
The limited edition release will be limited to 666 numbered copies and will add a reversible cover; a booklet featuring brand new writing on the film by Pete Tombs; and of course, the red case.
