The automotive SVOD/OTT service will offer a livestream of the upcoming collector car competition.
TEN: The Enthusiast Network has announced plans to broadcast the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance awards ceremony on August 21 at 2 p.m. PST. The livestream will be available through Motor Trend OnDemand and through the Automobile magazine playlist within Motor Trend's YouTube channel.
On Concours Sunday over 200 of the most beautiful cars ever produced are neatly arranged on the 18th fairway of the fabled Pebble Beach Golf Links. From its inception in 1950, this Concours has grown into a truly International event, with the finest cars brought from all points of the globe to compete for Best of Show, the most sought after prize in the automotive world.
"The Concours may seem genteel, but the competition can be fierce," said Concours Chairman Sandra Button. "We showcase the most beautiful, the most technologically advance and the most storied cars on the planet—and our judges are charged with determining the absolute best among them. The livestream allows us to share this competition, and all of these great cars, with the widest possible audience."
In addition to the awards ceremony itself, the livestream will also feature a preshow segment highlighting some of the most-prized collector cars. The event will be hosted by TEN’s International Bureau Chief Angus MacKenzie, American motorsports announcer Bob Varsha, British race car driver and veteran broadcaster Alain de Cadenet, and the editors of AUTOMOBILE and MOTOR TREND. Likewise, the broadcast will include several special guests and celebrities, all offering their own commentary, insights, and expertise.
Motor Trend OnDemand is available through iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Roku, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Android devices, and the web. Customers can now sign up for the service for $4.99 per month, $49.99 annually, or $89.99 for two years. The platform is also available as an add-on subcription directly through Amazon Video.
