Hideo Kojima Has Released His Last 'Metal Gear' Trailer, Showcases 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' Along With the Full 'MGS' Series

The end of an era.

The 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' hits next week, and as fans already know, the game marks the diverging of an iconic, outright crazy game series from its creator. 

This is the official launch trailer, but it is also bittersweet. Likewise, 'The Phantom Pain' is presented as "the missing link" in the series.

Whatever 'Metal Gear' or 'Metal Gear Solid' game follows 'The Phantom Pain' will do so without Hideo.
