Gauntlet: Slayer Edition news

It was needed badly.

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released 'Gauntlet: Slayer Edition' on the PS4 & PC. Built on the core of last year's PC-only 'Gauntlet,' this co-op dungeon crawler aims to update a classic of the industry and add in the player demands of today. That's why the 'Slayer Edition' includes a level of player customization hitherto unseen in a 'Gauntlet' game.

The game was developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and offers the Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard, and Elf as playable and customizable choices, a new Endless Mode to accompany the campaign, freeplay, and Colloseum options. Players can now change their specials, their potion abilities, and use their relics in a cool-down fashion. The gameplay, visuals, game modes, and difficulty have been changed and updated. Best of all, PC owners of 2014's 'Gauntlet' get the 'Gauntlet: Slayer Edition' updates for free.

The full changes in the new version are detailed here. Of course, the real draw is ability to play this new 'Slayer Edition' with four players locally or online.

'Gauntlet: Slayer Edition' is priced at $19.99 and is up on PSN now. (See here.)
