Getting Mesolithic.
There's been an ice age, and now there is a rush towards a now fertile land region. It's here where the bare essence of 'Far Cry' is set.
Personally, having recently read 'the Revenant' (and watched the movie), I now have a new appreciation for the challenges of the wilderness. Despite the 12,000 year time difference, I think 'Far Cry Primal' is trying to tap into that same kind of desperate and dangerous setting.
In creating the game, Ubisoft took the concept of research quite seriously. The idea I think was to create a 3D world with far more depth than any academic diorama to date.
To be honest, while the language study, creation, and implementation is interesting, I have to say that the mo-cap is some of the most fascinating I have seen in years.
