Painting modernity.
The return of the adventure game classic, 'King's Quest,' means the collision of gaming worlds. For a franchise born decades ago on the PC, this modern era of gaming is a hodgepodge of gritty 3D titles and 8-bit/16-bit wannabes, and yet, led by Art Director Lindsey Rostal, the team at The Odd Gentleman is attempting to tap into that classic matte painting look of past games but with a modern depth.
With that in mind, the latest look behind the scenes feels like merely a tease for a pretty game. Hopefully, deeper looks into the game's development are still to come.
