New sequel coming later this year.
Considering Tony Hawk himself has been dropping not-so-subtle hints the last few months, it should come as no surprise that yes indeed, a fifth 'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater' is in the works, and Game Informer has managed to drop the first details.
The number in the title is a not so subtle hint that yes, they'll be returning to the style of play from the originals, with the addition of powerups and projectiles. The game will have a seamless integration of offline and online, as well as the ability to design custom skate parks you can share online. The initial roster of available skaters includes Hawk himself, his son Riley, Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds. The game will be headed to current gen consoles later this year, with PS3/360 ports following soon after.
Further details will be revealed in this month's Game Informer as part of a six-page spread.
