Getting amped.
'Titanfall 2' may be including a single-player campaign for the first time, but the multiplayer is still where the roots of the series lie. The folks at PlayStation Blog have put together almost a full half-hour of pre-alpha 'Titanfall 2' multiplayer gameplay showing off two different game modes.
The first mode featured is Bounty Hunt, a kind of competitive horde mode that has opposing teams trying to farm money by killing waves of AI enemies. The second round features the Amped Hardpoint mode, a slightly different take on the classic "control point" game mode wherein teams can defend a point they just captured to "capture" it a second time, called "amping" the point.
The gameplay footage shows off a couple of unique player abilities like a stealthy Cloak or a deceiving Holo Pilot. The hosts also get to fire off the Laser Core super ability of one of the Titans.
This weekend, developer Respawn ran the game's first multiplayer tech test, with another test happening next weekend, August 26–28.
You can watch the gameplay for yourself below, and you can find the latest info on 'Titanfall 2' linked from our Video Game Release Schedule.
