Pre-load now.
One of the biggest games of the year, 'Tom Clancy's The Division,' is going to have a free open beta starting tomorrow. The first day is Xbox One, but it will be Xbox One, PS4, and PC this Friday. That means that now is the time to go and pre-load the 23.08GB download.
While it's not the full game, this beta will feature all content from the previous closed beta, plus a new story mission. Likewise any players who participate in this beta will receive a special in-game reward for use when the game releases.
Those are the some of the details, but to be honest, this is a game that has the potential to be massive, either a success or failure. It has always been a game that could be compared with 'Destiny,' but even before 'Destiny' was out, the developers were drawing distinctions.
We've been waiting to get in and struggle over Manhattan. Now is the chance (and for free).
The open beta is scheduled for all three platforms from February 19th-21st; however, Xbox One players will have 24 hours extra starting with February 18th.
The story follows a pandemic in NYC that was unleashed on Black Friday. The Division, whose members were embedded in everyday society, has been activated to bring order as all other vestiges of civilization fail.
