Critically acclaimed demo to be pulled in less than 24 hours
Just a friendly, but depressing public service announcement: You have till the end of the day today to download 'P.T.', the brilliant, terrifying demo for the Hideo Kojima/Guillermo Del Toro 'Silent Hill' game that will never be, due to an ugly, public spat between Kojima and Konami
The demo will be pulled from the Playstation Network by tomorrow. Current copies of the game on PS4 owners' hard drives will be unaffected. In addition, players without the system who wish to eventually play the game are advised to add the demo to their Playstation Network accounts via the online version of the Playstation Store (here for North America, here for Europe, here for Australia), where, theoretically, it can be downloaded later, but as with a great many things concerning their recent corporate shakeups, Konami has been tight-lipped as to whether 'P.T.' will still be available this way or not after today. The internet, of course, is already attempting to profit from the worst case scenario, however, as hard drives with the demo downloaded are already going for upwards of $1000 on Ebay.
