If you can dodge a wrench...
For anyone who ever enjoyed playing dodgeball, watching 'Tron' or playing an FPS online, today sees the full release of 'Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball.' This game, which at its core offers some very fun online multiplayer action, is a modern indie success. It's gone from a being a simple web game all the way through Greenlight, Early Access and now, full release. What's key for the end user though is that the game has been a marvel in Early Access, and that's thanks to the addictive multiplayer.
Fortunately, the game does support a nice set of single player modes, which are great for helping new players learn the ropes. Enter the neon club, pick up a ball and launch it at an opponent. Pretty simple, right? Of course, there's jumping and charging to factor in, not to mention upgrades like jetpacks and EMP balls. And each successful hit gets a possible trick rating as the arenas offer a billiards like level of challenge for the ambitious neon dodgeball robot.
'Robo Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball' is available now on Steam with a 20% launch discount. (Order here.)
