Good times.
A few weeks ago, I reviewed the Sound Blaster X7 (review here), this week, I completed a review of the E-MU XM7 speakers (review here). There has just been one reoccurring problem, the summer lull of games.
Make no mistake, the twin-headed beast of 'The Witcher III: Wild Hunt' (review here) and 'Batman: Arkham Knight' (review here) have been sustaining. But I found that I needed the 'Call of Duty: Advance Warfare' DLC packs (love Exo-Zombies), 'N++' (so good in co-op, review here), the 'Rare Replay' (love those challenges, review here), and even 'Life is Strange' episodes (a special experience, review here) to be suitable gaming demonstration material.
That might sound like a lot, but looking ahead to the week of August 25th, and the amount of potential demo material is off the charts. 'Madden NFL 16' alone is an event that will probably sound more real than most of the preseason games. But while football will be starting in earnest, there will be thousands who will play 'Gears of War' for the first time (and meet Dom while thousands others will return to the popular Unreal series) with 'Gears of War - Ultimate Edition.'
At this same time 'Gears' pull in so many, Arkane Studios steampunk triumph, 'Dishonored,' will hit the PS4 & Xbox One as 'Dishonored Definitive Edition.'
And before the month is even up, there will be 'Disney Infinity 3.0,' which just happens to focus on 'Star Wars' characters.
If this all sounds like too vanilla or too family-friendly to get excited about, there will be the horrific slasher style, Hayden Panettiere-powered 'Until Dawn.'
Really, that's all in one week, and that's off the top of my head. The following week is crazy as well. As in, 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' & 'Mad Max' crazy.
Now this is the kind of stuff that makes demoing the X7 & XM7s worthwhile.
What's games are you looking forward to as the summer ends? Let us know in the comments!
