An October treat for the new consoles.
It's official, Telltale will unleash 'The Walking Dead: Game of the Year Edition' on the PS4 and Xbox One on October 14th (October 24th in Europe) and 'The Walking Dead Season 2' on PS4 and Xbox One on October 21st (October 24th in Europe). 'The Walking Dead Season 2' will also get a retail verison for the Vita, and that is set for November 4th. Season 2 retail versions for the PS3 and 360 are also due out on October 21st.
For the PS4 and Xbox One, this will be the first release for 'The Walking Dead' series. Unfortunately, Telltale has not shared any details in terms of transferring decisions from say, 'The Walking Dead; Season 1' on the PS3 to the PS4.
'The Walking Dead: GOTY' includes all five episodes plus the between season '500 Days' episode.
While many PS4 and Xbox One rereleases are being produced with various upgrades and as a just a way to get in on the new console excitement, there's no doubt that Telltale titles can run much better than how they have on the PS3 and 360. For those who may have been waiting for one reason or another, playing for first time on the PS4 or Xbox One ought be a treat.
