Twitch ensures an early release.
'Punch Club' has been made available for sale on Steam after Twitch users played and completed the game over the course of a 36 hour stream. Publisher tinyBuild decided that the success of the Twitch Plays 'Punch Club' campaign would determine when the final game would end up releasing, initially saying that the game would never be released if Twitch was unable to complete it, though they later went back on that claim and said that the game would be available on January 25th if it wasn't completed before then.
Thankfully, Twitch was able to complete the game after 36 hours, and the game has been made available on Steam now. It costs $9.99. tinyBuild notes that over 70k users contributed to the Twitch playthrough of the game, with over a thousand viewers at any given time.
