In a class of three headsets.
Once again, E3 was host to a stack of companies all showing off their latest and greatest, including a whole host of gaming headsets. But for all the new and impressive headsets, there were only three models that are actually fully wireless with the Xbox One (no controller tether), and those three are from Turtle Beach.
Turtle Beach's newest is the Ear Force Stealth 420X, which at $179.95 is the most inexpensive way to get fully wireless on the Xbox One. As of now, it is available to preorder here.
The Stealth 420X shares its form factor with the extremely popular Ear Force Stealth 500P (review here) and Stealth 400, but brings with it some refinement while retaining the excellent battery life and ease of use.
The Stealth 420X joins the Elite 800X and the Ear Force Stealth 500x (review here) as the only fully wireless Xbox One headsets.
The Ear Force Stealth 420X pairs a 50mm driver stereo set-up and boom mic in a headset design that sports a 15 hour (or better) battery life, mic monitoring, and the rare set of individual chat and game audio controls. The Ear Force Stealth 420X is the most accessible pricewise of the fully wireless Xbox One headsets at $179.95 and is due out on July 18th. (Preorder here.)
