Evade and overcome.
It's 10am in the morning, and you've decided to go shopping. You walk into town with things like breakfast bars, batteries and machetes on your shopping list.
The weather is beautiful, but the sun is bright. In the haze you spot that familiar rambling gait.
The town is full of guttural sounds, and a six pack of zombies are only a few abandoned cars away from you.
Fortunately, you're a parkour bad-ass, and since you've just entered town, you scale the nearest apartment front to get above the ramblings bits of decay.
You move from building to building before you spot an apartment that looks promising. Ducking in the window you head for the kitchen.
But when you open the big pantry, the former resident, an amateur wrestler, stumbles out, looking to make his lunch out of you.
You back off and turn away. As you hear the lumbering sounds behind you, you take another window exit out.
The streets are a lot busier now, and you have a change of plans.
You head into the next building's basement, shutting yourself away for a few hours. You've had an ambition to turn a rusty sledgehammer into something sharp and strong.
Later, you emerge to find that nightfall has come, and the creatures filling the streets and alley are a lot more foreboding than they were earlier in the day. Now it's time to test this new weapon.
You set off, and the plan is to find a weaker, more isolated foe on which to test your wares.
This is Techland's 'Dying Light,' and it launches this week for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
One nice bonus for buyers is that the 'Be a Zombie' PvP mode, which was formerly a pre-order incentive, will now be free for all purchasers.
