Hero Assassin Saves Templar Girl in Latest 'Assassin's Creed Unity' Trailer

Protagonist Arno Dorian races over and through the streets to prevent a beheading. The girl he eventually saves, Elise, is a Templar, sworn foe to the Assassins that've run through the entire series so far. They take up arms together.

Aside from relearning that Ubisoft is the reigning champion of CG trailers, it looks like 'Assassin's Creed Unity' is trying to upend the ages-long conflict between the Asssassins and Templars. There may even be a Romeo and Juliet thing going on here. Who knows?

We'll find out when the game releases for PC, Xbox One and PS4 on Oct. 28.
