There can be only one.
A new and free Battle mini game will be coming to console editions of 'Minecraft' next month, Mojang announced.
According to Mojang, this Battle mode was made specifically for console audiences. Supporting up to four players locally and eight players online, the game pushes players into one of three arenas, where they'll need to scour chests for weapons and take down their foes before they're struck down themselves. There's no crafting in this game mode, only combat. It has been built with a fast-paced play style in mind.
Players on PS4, PS3, Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U will be able to get the Battle mini game as a free update when it launches sometime in June. Mojang also noted that more Battle map packs will be available after launch for $2.99 each.
