Ubisoft is pretty much done with the previous generation.
While most of the gaming world was off dissecting the new 'Assassin's Creed: Syndicate' presentation, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot was giving an earnings briefing, in which he states the inevitable is happening: Ubisoft is pretty much ditching previous gen consoles.
While he singled out 'Just Dance' as a franchise that'll still see new entries on 360/PS3/etc, the heavy hitters in their lineup--'Assassin's Creed', 'Rainbow Six', 'The Division', and an unnamed AAA franchise Ubisoft mentioned during the same call--will be current gen only from here on out, starting with 'Syndicate' and 'Rainbow Six: Siege'. Suddenly, 'AC: Rogue' transitioning directly into 'Unity' at the end seems more than a little symbolic.
Guillemot wasn't specific on where the company stands on WiiU ports, but given Nintendo's current dearth of third party support, don't hold your breath.
