In a cheap way, too.
Developer The Behemoth announced today that 'Castle Crashers', that awesome, cartoony beat-'em-up you probably downloaded at some point in the last 7 years one of the 1200 times it was on sale for a five spot on your online marketplace of choice, will be coming home to Xbox again.
'Castle Crashers' will be riding again as 'Castle Crashers Remastered', releasing next Tuesday, September 9th. The game is getting a pretty sweet onceover, running at 60fps, with new textures, performance updates and tweaks, a brand new mini-game, and some serious improvements coming to the online portion.
The game will sell for $14.99, BUT, here's the best part: If you bought it on 360, the game will be 100% free up through September 20th, as long as you have Xbox Live Gold membership. And even then, if you miss your shot, and you've bought the game before, after September 21st, you still only have to fork over another $5 for the remaster, though the Gold membership is still required. And even then, if you decide you don't want to fork over any money at all, The Behemoth also announced the original title on 360 is being made available through the Backward Compatibility program. So, come the newest update, you can keep playing the game on Xbox One anyway. Of course, take a look at the trailer below. Just give 'em the $5.
