It's rare for a deveoper to do any sort of victory lap for the creative successes of their game, let alone one that's eight minutes long, but, if you haven't played 'Tales From The Borderlands' yet, trust this: Telltale's earned this one.
The game will be a rash across a ton of Game of the Year lists soon enough, and deservedly so. It's impossible to truly encapsulate why without actually playing it (and falling in love with Gortys like everyone should), but Telltale tries here, with this retrospective interview with the principal crew responsible from bringing the game to life. It's a heartwarming little look at the mood and ethos that went into the game, with the positivity that permeates the whole game shown in spades. From a technical standpoint, it's also interesting that it shows Troy Baker and Laura Bailey in the recording booth together, something that rarely happens in voice acting, but also explains why so much of the banter here works so well.
Check out the full video below. If you haven't played the game yet, Episode 1 is free on your platform of choice right this second. If you own a PS3 or PS4, the whole season is on sale, along with a bunch of Telltale's other titles, till December 15th for $7.50. If you have PS Plus, it's even more of a steal at $3.75.
