Price and contents also revealed.
The big story of the day is that thousands upon thousands of Radiohead fans just tried in vain to go get World Tour tickets, which were gone in 20 minutes. Because society is nothing if not a glutton for punishment, many of those same people might end up doing the same thing come Tuesday, as the Playstation VR rig will be going up for pre-order on March 22nd.
Surprisingly, Tuesday's offering will only be for the just-confirmed bundle. The good news being that we now have some firm details on what will actually be included; the bad news, of course, is that it will run $499, a wee bit more expensive than the $400 originally quoted for everyone to get their Lawnmower Man on. And yet, still cheaper than a basic Oculus Rift.
Here's what your $499 will get you:
--PS VR headset
--PS VR cables
--Stereo Headphones
--PlayStation VR Demo Disc
--PlayStation Camera
--2 PlayStation Move motion controllers
--PlayStation VR Worlds (disc)
No word on whether they'll be extending the same pre-order courtesy to folks who just want the VR headset yet, though one can't imagine they wouldn't. Watch this space.
