Alabama Shakes, Breaking Benjamin & more.
On the cups of the second week of 'Rock Band 4' availability (review here), there are DLC tracks coming, but these tracks ought to be familiar to fans who took advantage of the Amazon preorder offer.
The new DLC tracks are:
Alabama Shakes - "Don’t Wanna Fight"
Breaking Benjamin - "Failure"
Death From Above 1979 "Trainwreck 1979"
The Pretty Reckless - "Follow Me Down"
These new songs are priced at $1.99 a piece, and will be available to purchase on October 13th.
Also of important note for those enthusiast 'Rock Band' drummers, the Mad Catx Rock Band 4 Triple Cymbal Expansion Kit is up for pre-order at $49.99 (Order here or here.)
This cross-platform cymbal kit allows 'RB4' players to unlock Pro Drum mode, and is easy to install and allows for adjustable height. One thing to note, this kit is exclusively for the new 'RB4' wireless drums and are listed as incompatible with older kits. The Triple Cymbal Expansion Kit is expected to ship in Holiday 2015.
Here is the new game in action:
Users should be warned that the volume of DLC songs, (new and old) is a challenge for PSN and Xbox Live. This past week has had a bit of madness to it, but as users have been waiting so long to get the band back together on the new platforms, that these early hiccups ought to be taken in stride.
The PS4 version of 'RB4' is compatible with most of the old PS3 instruments (and even the PS2 ones!)
The Xbox One side needs a little help in the form of the Legacy Controller Adapter:
Since the Xbox One needs an adapter in order for players to use their old 360 instruments, buying an adapter plus disc bundle makes sense for many players. That bundle can be ordered here for $79.99. The full list of compatible Xbox 360 controllers/instruments can be found here. Other choices include the guitar bundle or the full band bundle. There are also disc only options (see here).
