A matter of time.
As has been explained before, 'Rise of the Tomb Raider,' the sequel to 2013's multiplatform 'Tomb Raider' is going to be a timed exclusive for the Xbox One and 360, and that's a major win for Microsoft for the 2015 holiday season. As detailed in the March issue of Game Informer, the new game will see Lara raid the "frozen wilds of Siberia on a hunt for the lost secrets of immortality." Along with a new fight for survival, complete with crafting and grander puzzles, Lara is going to go up against the secret society that has been behind the scenes of the new series.
As part of the Crystal Dynamics/Game Informer coverage, the developer has once again confirmed that the exclusivity of the game to Xbox platforms is not a permanent arrangement, other consoles remain a "possibility." Such a stance is like to have readers wondering which dev kits reside within the project, and when might the "other consoles" be addressed in full?
