Sorry, four out of five boroughs.
In 'Tom Clancy's The Division,' players will be able to explore a post-pandemic recreation of New York City, but they'll be restricted to a single slice of the city, Midtown Manhattan, when the game launches.
Instead of allowing players to explore all corners of New York, the developers decided to focus on making a more detailed map of a single area, creative director Magnus Jansen told Examiner.com. Jansen describes the game's map as a "one-to-one recreation" of the area, so there should be plenty for players to explore and discover.
Still, importing additional New York neighborhoods into the game would be an easy source of post-release or expansion pack content, and Ubisoft has already demonstrated their interest in constructing long-term content plans to support its releases.
