Ubisoft Announces 'Steep,' A New IP That Marries Extreme Sports With Open-World Design, Launching This Year

To close out its E3 news conference, Ubisoft pulled back the curtain on 'Steep,' a new IP that's all about racing down the Alps on your extreme-sports vehicles of choice and sharing your death-defying runs with your friends.

Players can rocket down the Alps on skiis, a snowboard, a paraglider, or a wingsuit. Throughout the mountain range, players will find challenges that they can attempt and then go back and review the line they took down the mountain to see where they can improve on the next run.

Though the base game focuses on the Alps, content based on the mountains of Alaska will be coming free after launch.

'Steep' is scheduled to launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC this December. You can check out the reveal trailer and some gameplay in the videos below.
