'Torment: Tides of Numenara' Beta Coming This Month

Kickstarter backers get access first.

Brian Fargo, producer of the upcoming 'Torment: Tides of Numenara' has recently announced that a beta version of the title will be made available to all eligible Kickstarter backers on January 17th, and will then be released on Steam Early Access on January 26th. He states that the beta will start players right at the beginning of the game and that "It covers the game's introductory sequence as well as most of the first major location of the game, Sagus Cliffs."

Fargo states they'll be using the beta as an opportunity to gather feedback from players and improve the overall game. The game is set for a full release later this year, and pledges for the game are still being taken on the 'Torment' website. The original Kickstarter is one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns for a game to date, with $4.18 Million being raised by 75K backers.
