Journey to the West comes to 'Pocket Edition' and 'Windows 10 Edition.'

Minecraft is celebrating the Lunar New Year and giving everyone a crash course in Chinese culture at the same time with its new Journey to the West skin pack for the game's 'Pocket Edition' and 'Windows 10 Edition.'

To commemorate the Chinese Year of the Monkey, Mojang put together this skin pack based on characters from the 16th-century Chinese story Journey to the West, which features the Monkey King Sun Wukong. Those who play 'Minecraft' on Windows 10 or their mobile device can pick up two of these featured skins, Red Boy and Guanyin, for free. The other 12 skins can be bought for $1.99.

Even if you don't know much about Ming Dynasty-era literature, you might be familiar with its modern retelling. Dragon Ball was originally inspired by Journey to the West, with Goku serving as the analog of the Monkey King himself.
