Build worlds 36 times larger than the 360 edition.
There are killer apps and there are system sellers, and then, there are cultural phenomenon. 'Minecraft' has been everywhere it has touched, and the 360 in particular has been like a second home with 'Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition' spreading like blocky wildfire. And now after some slight delay, 'Minecraft: Xbox One Edition' is coming and coming soon. This Friday, September 5th, Xbox One players will get their 'Minecraft,' and it will cost $19.99. This is big news, but for 'Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition' players, the news is even better.
First of all, Xbox 360 worlds and content can be transferred to the Xbox One version, and that includes all purchased downloadable content. Just as good, for owners of 'Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition,' 'Minecraft: Xbox One Edition' can be had for $4.99.
'Minecraft: Xbox One Edition' will support "worlds up to 36 times larger than on Xbox 360, now there's an even bigger canvas to create, with four player split-screen on one console or up to eight players over Xbox Live."
'Minecraft: Xbox One Edition' will be available from the Xbox Store, as a download code from certain retailers, and at some point this year, as a retail disc copy.
